Scene On TV

Video

The legendary Tony Hawk video game series has always featured great music, and the latest edition of the franchise, Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD continues on in that fine tradition.  This version of the game actually is an updated version of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2, giving it the HD graphics of current generation console systems, but keeping the classic gameplay from the legendary first versions of the game.

As for the music, the soundtrack is split evenly between songs that were in the old games, and some new songs. Amongst the highlights are frequently bloggeda bout Scene on TV favorites “The Bomb” by Pigeon John and “Flyentology (Cassettes Won’t Listen Remix)” by  El-P featuring Trent Reznor, which both sit nicely next to “Bring the Noise” by Anthrax with Chuck D from the old school game.

A new song we were turned on to by this release is “We the People” by Lateef the Truthspeaker, which is the kind of creative, highly-intelligent hip hop that fans of Pigeon John, Blackalicious and Lyrics Born.
