The last couple weeks have seen an influx of all things Derek Jeter, with his dramatic 5-5 night that ended with a homerun and the achievement of hit #3,000. The drama of course didn’t end, as the media have spent the better part of the last week debating whether or not he was right to have skipped the All-Star game due to exhaustion. While we will refrain from taking sides (it’s impossible to know exactly everything behind his decision), we will say it has been a thrill to watch him play, even for a couple of die-hard Dodger fans.
MLB Network has celebrated Jeter’s career with some great videos, including the one above which shows the biggest of his career highlights, soundtrack by Middle Distance Runner’s “Man of the People,” the perfect song to go along with the new Mr. Yankee.
