Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast has teamed up with the legendary king of garage rock Iggy Pop to record a song “Let’s Boot and Rally” which will be featured in this upcoming Sunday’s episode of True Blood, which is also titled “Let’s Boot and Rally.”
The song is a throwback to the good ol’ days of rock n’ roll, and the two stars’ voices come together to make some great garage-y magic. Head on over to the KCRW blog for more information, where you can also stream the track in its entirety.
So Target has rounded up an eclectic mix of artists to record Christmas songs, which you can download for free at Target’s official website. Some highlights include indie’s first couple Nathan Williams and Bethany Cosentino (aka Wavves and Best Coast) doing “Got Something For You,” Jason Schwartzman’s (aka Coconut Records) “It’s Christmas” and last, but not least, Blackalicious with “Toy Jackpot,” which can also be heard in the commercial spot above.
