Nickelodeon has been promoting the Worldwide Day of Play, and have used the perfect song to set the mood for their fun ads - “Good Time” by Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City. This song has been EVERYWHERE this year, but somehow it still manages to sound fresh and fun to these bloggers’ ears, thanks to an infectious hook and upbeat rhythm.
NBC sure must love the Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen collaboration ”Good Time” as much as us, because in addition to featuring it in promos for Today at the Olympics, they have also made it the song for the new promos for their Thursday Comedy nights.
The only bummer for us was that it served as another reminder that this is the last season of The Office. While the show has been going down hill and it’s probably for the best to see it end now before it gets ugly, it still is sad for us to see one of our favorite shows of the past 10 years come to an end…but if you ever need a pick me up song, “Good Time” is a great way to boost your mood.
“Good Time” the fantastically infectious collaboration between Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen has been featured in a new ad for Today at the Olympics. This song features a more upbeat, dancey use of synthesizers than is typical of the often reflective Owl City songs, and it’s great to hear how this added exuberance really shines through on this track.
